> ## Agent Instructions
> Spreader is a web service that tracks arbitrage spreads between crypto exchanges. This documentation covers only what a user of the service sees and does.
> Page paths starting with /en/ are English. Translations live under /ru/ and /uk/ with the same file names.
> Screenshots are illustrations. Every screenshot is accompanied by text that states the same facts, so you do not need to see the image.

# Chart

> The spread chart: In and Out history with a live tail, windows from 1h to 31d, bar steps from 10s to 1d, line or candles, and alternative sets for funding, leg prices and open interest.

The chart on the spread page draws the history of the net entry spread (**In**) and net exit spread (**Out**) and continues them live as quotes arrive.

![The chart block: window, bar, chart set, line or candles, live data source.](https://mintcdn.com/develops-6bdfff15/wHoc8ymqHXCxymk7/images/spread/chart-en-dark.png?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=wHoc8ymqHXCxymk7\&q=85\&s=09354f35e20b2422546a9ca1c1ea39fb)

The chart block: window, bar, chart set, line or candles, live data source.

## Controls

| Control | Options | Default |
| - | - | - |
| **Window** | `1h`, `6h`, `1d`, `3d`, `7d`, `31d` | `6h` |
| **Bar** | `10s`, `1m`, `5m`, `15m`, `1h`, `4h`, `1d` | `10s` |
| **Chart type** | **Line**, **Candles** | Line |
| **Chart** | **Spread**, **Funding**, **Leg prices**, **OI** | Spread |
| **Live data source** | **Server**, **Markets** | Server |

The choice is not remembered: every spread page opens with the defaults. Windows longer than the pair's history are disabled. **Reset chart view** returns the zoom and scroll to the default.

## Reading the chart

* **Line** draws In and Out as lines of the bar close. **Candles** draws them as candles of the chosen bar. The live tail since you opened the page is always a line, one point per second.
* A shaded band marks a gap in history. Dots with labels mark the extremes of the window.
* Hover or touch to see the values at a time. The tiles above follow the crosshair.
* **Funding** shows the published funding rate of both legs per interval. **Leg prices** shows the mid price of each leg. **OI** shows open interest in USD.

## Live data source

**Server** draws the live tail from the same numbers as the scanner. **Markets** connects your browser directly to the exchanges and draws the tail from their best prices, which also enables the order books. The state next to the toggle reads `connecting`, `live`, `blocked` (the exchange is not reachable from your browser) or `no adapter` (the exchange has no browser channel yet). When an exchange is blocked, the line continues from the server.

## When history is missing

| Message | Meaning |
| - | - |
| **Loading 6h history…** | History is on its way, the live line starts drawing as soon as it arrives. |
| **No history for this window yet** | The pair is younger than the window. Longer windows unlock as data accrues. |
| **No history for this quote currency** | Quotes in this currency have no stored rate to USDT, so the spread cannot be replayed. The live line still works. |
