> ## Agent Instructions
> Spreader is a web service that tracks arbitrage spreads between crypto exchanges. This documentation covers only what a user of the service sees and does.
> Page paths starting with /en/ are English. Translations live under /ru/ and /uk/ with the same file names.
> Screenshots are illustrations. Every screenshot is accompanied by text that states the same facts, so you do not need to see the image.

# Positions and closing

> The Position tab on the spread page tracks a pair opened through Spreader: entry, now, PnL, funding, status open, one leg or closed, and repair buttons for legs that differ.

Under the chart on the spread page sit the tabs **Position**, **Orders** and **Balance**. The full list of positions is in **Tools › Positions**, see [Positions](https://docs.spreader.sh/en/tools/positions.md).

The Position block under the chart with an open position.

## Position

| Field | Meaning |
| - | - |
| **Entry**, **Now** | Prices of each leg at entry and now. |
| **PnL** | Realised plus unrealised, in USD. |
| **Entry spread**, **Out net now** | Net spread at entry and net exit spread at current prices. |
| **Funding** | Accumulated funding of the position, updated about once a minute. |
| **Fees** | Taker fees paid. |
| **Opened** | Time of the first fill. |
| Status | `open`, `one leg`, `closed`, `no position`. |

Entry prices and fees come from orders placed here. Quantities follow the exchange if you sell or close there.

## Legs differ

Opening on spot often leaves the spot leg slightly smaller than the perp leg (slippage and the fee paid in the coin). The panel shows `legs differ by N` and offers:

| Button | What it does |
| - | - |
| **Balance legs** | Reduces the larger leg to the smaller one with one order. |
| **Write off dust** | Marks a tiny remainder as closed without an order. |

**Balance legs automatically** in **Settings › Trade** does the first one by itself after a Semi open.

## One leg

**Only one leg is open — close it or open the other** means the second order did not fill. The position is `unhedged`.

| Button | What it does |
| - | - |
| **Open other leg** | Sends the missing leg. |
| **Close leg** | Closes the open leg. |
| **Not executed** | Check the order on the exchange first: if it was not executed, mark it here. |
| **Mark closed** | Marks the position closed without orders, for positions you closed on the exchange itself. |

## Orders

The **Orders** tab lists every order of this route: **Time**, **Leg**, **Order** type, **Requested**, **Filled @ avg**, **Status**. **Cancel** is available for open limit orders.

## Shared leverage

**Leverage and margin of this perp are shared with the pair …** the exchange keeps one position per symbol, so two pairs that use the same perpetual share its leverage and margin mode.
