A scanner page can be opened by a public link. The owner decides when to share and when to stop. Sharing, cloning and following need an account, a guest can only view.
  1. Hover the page in the sidebar and click ⋯.
  2. Click Share by link. The page shows the badge Shared by link, and anyone with the link can open this scanner, view only.
  3. Click Copy link to copy /scan/<code>.
  4. Stop sharing closes the link again.
A page that follows another scanner cannot be shared.

Opening someone else’s scanner

The link opens the scanner with the owner’s filters, view, columns and hidden pairs. The breadcrumb says Shared and the top bar shows the badge View only: filters can be changed here, but nothing is saved and no pairs can be hidden. Reset returns to the owner’s state. Two buttons stay: Follow and Clone to my scanners. If the owner stopped sharing, the page says This scanner is not shared with you. A wrong code gives There is no such scanner.

Clone

Clone to my scanners asks Clone “name”? and creates a copy with its filters, view and hidden pairs in your scanners. You can rename or delete it later. The original stays with its owner and will not change. When the name is taken, the copy is called name (clone 1), name (clone 2) and so on.

Follow

Follow asks Follow “name”? and creates a page that mirrors the shared scanner: its filters and view update whenever the owner saves changes, and alerts bound to it follow along. The page shows Following · View only. You cannot edit it, but you can rename, delete or clone it. If the owner stops sharing or deletes the scanner, the page shows Source closed and keeps the last seen filters frozen. Stop following in the page menu keeps the page with its current filters as your own editable page. A page you follow counts toward your page limit. A page that follows another scanner cannot be followed or shared in turn.
